The Vintage 2021– “Celebrating The History of BMW”. September 16-18th at Hot
Springs Resort & Spa, Hot Springs, NC. Registration is closed, but an event not to
miss!
West Coast E31 Owners – The BMW SoCal Vintage Meet is scheduled for Saturday,
November 6 th at Woodley Avenue Park in Van Nuys, CA. Registration to show your car
is now open. Spectators welcome. Saturday, November 6 th for the BMWs; Sunday the
7 th for the French & Italian cars! Both events not to be missed!

Membership Update: This past August we had seven E31 Chapter member renewals
and one membership that, unfortunately, lapsed. Thank you for your renewals and
support of the E31 8 Series world-side community!
E31 Chapter Annual Board Meeting will be held on Sunday, September 12th . Notes
from the meeting will be included in the October President’s Update.

E31 owner Andrew Ng of Vancouver, British Columbia (whom I have known since I
purchased my 1991 Calypso 850i ten years ago) sent me an interesting photograph of
an upmarket RV that contained a Bugatti Veyron that parked on a platform that slid out
from under the RV. Andrew made some “quick & loose” (just for fun) modifications to the photograph, adding his own Mauritius Blue E31 and matching the color of the RV to
his car. See the results below. Thank you, Andrew!
